60+ pros gathered in Skate Park of Tampa’s humid sweat box to charge the street course for another year of Tampa Pro 2015. The weekend was filled with tons of damn-good shredding, but the prominent 60 second run clung to Luan Olivera. His extended superhuman run got him $20 grand in his pocket and a straight shot to the 2015 SLS Nike SB Super Crown World Championships on October 4th in Chicago. Coming in at a close second place was Nyjah Huston, followed by Kelvin Hoefler.
At long last, our beautiful home town of San Luis Obispo has opened up a new skatepark! Though we loved the old SLO skatepark, it was in serious need of replacement. After years of fundraising, public forums and city council meetings, the park is finally complete and open for business. What better way to celebrate such a momentous feat than with a huge grand opening?
Cyril Jackson is officially the newest member of the Bakerboys family. It’s been along time coming. With two new pro model boards, Cyril will be continuing the tradition of past Bakerboys—dropping hammers with wreck-less abandon. This dudes got skills and is a true skate rat, skating everything and anything. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for you Cyril. Congrats, keep it up!!!
The Unheard dudes took a short hiatus on their tour and stopped by the Warehouse. The van pulled up, dudes poured out, hung for a bit, checked out the Warehouse and did a little skateboarding before hitting the road. I got a chance to chat with the owner of The Portland Wheel Company Spencer Morgan, and asked him a few questions about what’s new. Read more for the interview and check out the new Portland Wheel drop at SW!
