It’s no surprise the Star Wars x Vans collab is huge. Skate Warehouse is excited about the shoes we’ve got heading our way. And the Santa Cruz Star Wars collection was killer. Vans and Santa Cruz Skateboards are now part of the “Deathstar Blues” exhibit at Denver’s Black Book Gallery this June. Over the weekend Russ Pope released his new zine, Life Lines alongside a bunch of his work at the Needles and Pens Gallery in SF. Some friends and I decided it was worth the four hour drive out of sleepy SLO, especially since it was a limited release of only 50 zines. The illustrious wolfbat, Dennis McNett, has joined forces with Anti Hero Skateboards for this new Train Key Deck Series. There are four total in the set. Check out the pics and learn more about this impressive artist.
Haroshi is a Tokyo-based artist that makes incredible sculptures out of old used skateboards. His creations are an artistic recycling of broken decks, trucks and wheels that are meticulously cut into different shapes or kept in their original form and connected in different styles, then shaven into the form of the final piece. This is genuine skate art at it’s coolest.
