Chances are Daniel Parks has been skating since before you were born. School teacher by day, family man by night and die-hard skateboarder every time in-between Daniel straight kills it and is a true inspiration. Definitely giving the kids a run for their money, this part is proof that mileage and experience only fuel the stoke of skateboarding. As one of the masterminds behind Jazzpush-Unearthed, Daniel is a staple in our skate community. Style for miles and one of the nicest most genuine dudes out, he is a favorite at the shop and SW considers him family. This part really captures what it’s like to skate with Daniel: always stoked, always fun and always impressive. I would dare you to try and step to this part but I wouldn’t want you to lose any sleep over it, you’ll be hard pressed to match Daniel’s energy.
We recently drove up to Santa Cruz, CA for a full tour of the NHS Distribution facility. This video is the first section of that tour, featuring longtime NHS graphics master Dave Freil. Dave demonstrated much of the printing process for skate graphics and talked about the evolution from original hand-printed screening to contemporary heat transfers and more. If you’re into skate art culture, this video will stoke you out!

The illustrious kidpasta strikes again! Ryan “kidpasta” Varner is a longtime Skate Warehouse employee, in-house artist, creative wizard and all around great guy. For the past couple of months, he’s been chipping away at an epic mural in the Customer Service office. It was just finished last week and we’re stoked to showcase it on the blog. This freakin’ painting is incredibly cool.
For the month of August, our good friends over at Tigerlily Salon offered to host Skate Warehouse as their featured artist for Art After Dark. Not too many people know of the talents of our employees outside of skateboarding, and this was a great opportunity to showcase them. Check out the pics. Big thanks to everyone involved!
It’s no surprise the Star Wars x Vans collab is huge. Skate Warehouse is excited about the shoes we’ve got heading our way. And the Santa Cruz Star Wars collection was killer. Vans and Santa Cruz Skateboards are now part of the “Deathstar Blues” exhibit at Denver’s Black Book Gallery this June. Several artists are involved but Derek Keenan’s AT-AT sculpture really stands out. Read the full article for more info.
