Emerica Romero Laced Shoe Review

One of the hardest decisions you can make in skateboarding is purchasing skate shoes. There are hundreds of different models to choose from, which can be a blessing and a curse. It’s hard to decipher what will fit right or what will last long enough to be worth your hard earned cash. It’s even harder when you’re buying online. Before I had the grand opportunity to work at Skate Warehouse I had to make skate shoes last for months, from duct taping holes worn through the bottoms to shoe goo’ing the entire toecap back together. I really had to commit to the shoes that I was purchasing and get as much out of them as I could. I’m here now to help you make the right decision regarding what shoes to buy. That right decision is the Emerica Romero Laced Shoes, available in Black/White, Grey/White and Navy at Skate Warehouse.

There’s been a good amount of hype surrounding these shoes for the past month. Instinctively I knew I had to write an article about them. As soon as they got dropped off at the warehouse I scraped together my last few bucks for a pair. I wanted to give the most honest and on point review I could. I’ve been skating them for the past week and honestly, I’m blown away. These are the best skate shoes on the market and I’ve been skating more than ever since I put them on. They are that good. The Romero Laced shoes are a diamond in the rough. I’ll put down an entire paycheck that you won’t be disappointed, in the slightest bit, by the performance of these bad boys. That’s how much I stand behind them. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair. You’ll be thanking me soon enough.

Let’s break down the technical wear and tear side of things. After a week of skateboarding, running around and normal day-to-day use, I haven’t seen any noticeable damage. No ripped laces and no loss in shape, even the toecap looks brand new. Durability wise, these shoes are a hundred percent. If you were once a proud owner of the original Laced than you are no stranger to the beautiful shape of this shoe. Take that original shoe, inject steroids into it, add a rubber heel drag pod and you have the Emerica Romero Laced. Even though these shoes are thin and light, they are ready for any kind of impact. It’s the first shoe I’ve seen to have the best of both worlds. Thin enough to maintain as much board feel as possible with the durability and strength of a bigger, chunkier shoe. You should be thanking the guys over at Emerica for letting you skate such an amazing shoe.

In the end, the new Emerica Romero Laced shoes are spectacular. Truly a one of a kind shoe, above any other competitor in its class. Emerica has outdone themselves. I know I’ll be skating these for quite some time and I’m sure you will be too. Be sure to purchase yours at Skate Warehouse today.

terrible shoes, they cut my heels and are too thin on the soles, with or without insoles these shoes are uncomfortable and a dread to skate in or simply wear. do not recommend

Bummer! We’ve got dudes in the warehouse that swear by these shoes. Great board feel, great fit. Different strokes for different folks I guess, thanks for your feedback Brad.
