Looking to freshen up that old and tired kit? The boys at Passport got your back with a heavy drop of some ripping new board collections and a fresh set of new tees. The Australian based company nailed it again.
Skate Warehouse is pleased to briefly stock the Creature Rumble Series by Chris Burney. All decks and 1,000 puzzle pieces glimmer in the dark, bringing a little spookiness into a black world. Put your car insurance on layaway this month because this is a one time series and sure to be history soon. Only 500 of each of these boards were made.
Did anyone else forget Royal still made trucks? With distributers like NHS and Delux reigning the truck world for decades now, it’s easy for Crailtap’s quiet Royal Trucks to get cold on the back-burner. Fortunately for Crailtap, they have a solid group of dudes working and skating for them (Ty Evans, Spike Jonze, Mike Carroll, Jerry Hsu, Guy Mariano, Mike Mo… just to name a small handful). When they want to bring quality to the table, they can. 2015 is the year of Royal Trucks. A totally renovated Royal Truck that’s easily on the level or your favorite Independent or Thunder Truck is now on the market in the form of the new Royal Standard Trucks. Peep these upgrades.
The man, the myth, the legend, PJ Ladd and Jessup Griptape just released a small edit filmed at the Lincoln Skatepark. After a PJ-less Plan B True Video, it seems his footage is as elusive as the rarely spotted snow leopard. Granted it’s not the gnarly clips you may expect from him, but relax, it’s still rad to see him skating and having fun. All black and white, super 8 film, only one day and PJ make for a pretty raw and fun video.
It was another scorching weekend for the skate contest world as the Phonix Am 2015 went down with a bang. Over 200 of the best Am’s from all over the world showed up for the event and battled blistering 100 degree plus temperatures. These kids were hungry and killed it all weekend long. After tons of amazing skating it was Jack Olson’s flawless final run that earned him the three grand, along with a refreshing champagne shower. Jamie Foy brought home the second place trophy along with a nice $2,000 cash proze. To finish out the top three it was Ivan Monteiro who walked away with that extra thousand.
