The new Carnival decks series from enjoi is a small glimpse into the twisted world that is enjoi. No strangers to comedy, the enjoi crew has done it again in a multi-deck landscape masterpiece. From Jimmy Carlin in his undies to Weiger rockin’ the hotdog suit, this carnival looks like my kinda party. There may even be a Mullen and Staba sighting in there somewhere… Pick yours up at Skate Warehouse and be sure to tune in for more Series Spotlights!
This unassuming, soft spoken English lad by the name of Ben Raemers is an absolute beast on the stuntwood. He recently turned pro for enjoi and if you’ve seen their new video, you’ll know why. The enjoi oververt DVD is officially available for sale starting today. So, it’s too soon for me to be blabbing out spoilers but I’ll just say that his part will blow your mind and make your palms sweaty. Ben is so gnarly! We had a chance to interview Ben a while back, well before oververt was released and before he had any idea they’d turn him pro. Watch the video for a brief glimpse into the mind of enjoi’s good geezer or read the interview below for the full monty!
This past Thursday we had the pleasure of hosting a local premiere of enjoi’s new video oververt at The Palm Theatre in our beautiful hometown of San Luis Obispo. We raffled off some gear (courtesy of enjoi) plenty of popcorn was consumed and there was an abundance of smiles and laughter. Big thanks to enjoi, The Palm, and all of those who came out to check the flick. Until next time!
Jim Muir, the founder of Dogtown Skateboards, was a Z-Boy during those formative years when the Zephyr team’s aggressive approach and timeless style pushed skateboarding to the next level. As skateboarding evolved into the 80’s, Jim’s brother Mike went on to form the legendary thrash and skate punk band Suicidal Tendencies in 1981. These two brothers have been crossing creative paths ever since. Dogtown and Suicidal Tendencies go hand in hand and this latest Dogtown x RxCx LTD Decks series is yet another killer example.
Jason Lee and Chris Pastras founded Stereo Skateboards in 1992 and were the very first international WeActivists for the Sweden-based clothing brand WeSC, which was founded in 1999. Clint Peterson—who made some custom art for this capsule—has been on Stereo since 2004 and WeSC since 2005. Needless to say, the WeSC x Stereo Skateboards collaboration has been a long time coming.
