Welcome has always nailed it with the look and feel of their products, so you know what to expect with Orbs. Welcome guarantees you won’t get any flat spots and – because of the hollow core – they are “15% lighter than any other wheel trapped in this dimension.” Toss your shitty flat spotted wheels into the past were they belong and pick up a new pair of Orbs Wheels today at Skate Warehouse.
It’s my turn to pick this Friday’s SW Replay and I’m going with Donny Barley’s part in Toy Machine’s Welcome To Hell. His powerhouse east coast style set to Black Sabbath’s “Megalomania” still just gets me amped up. It starts at 15:15 but you should definitely watch the whole vid in stunning 480p resolution. Just like the old days. Baaaarley!
We took a trip down to Skate One Distribution last week. Skate One is home to BONES Wheels, Powell-Peralta, Bones Bearings, Mini Logo and several other great skate brands. George Powell himself gave us a personally guided tour through the entire facility. We covered the deck manufacturing process in Part 1, so be sure to check that out before reading on.
Skate One Distribution is home to BONES Wheels, Powell-Peralta, Bones Bearings, Mini Logo and several other great skate brands. They’ve been responsible for the best bearings and highest performance urethane in skateboarding for decades running and we were excited to get an inside look at the facility. When we arrived, we were pleasantly greeted by our Skate One rep, Jamie Gathard, and our tour guide… George Powell himself!
This week’s Crispy New New is a bit more gooey than your average. With such a sick setup, Suzanne is gonna be slashin’ and thrashin’ in style. We’ve got a Creature Deck, Thunder Trucks, OJ Wheels, Diamond bearings, Mini Logo hardware and Skate Warehouse grip in full purple and green glory. Fiends, creeps, heshers, goons; lurk with us!
