Straight out of the artsy bunghole of the skateboarding industry comes some news on the art scene. Firstly, we found out Russ Pope will be putting on his first solo art show. The show, titled Tax Included, happens April, 5th, (this Thursday) at the AR4T Gallery in California. Skate Warehouse is a big fan of Pope’s, from his work with Scarecrow to Creature to Fallen Footwear to Vans. We even rock one of his original painting out in the shop (seen below). In more artist news we’re proud to announce a load of Stereo Sound of Silence decks featuring the artwork of Don Pendleton. Pendleton, known over the years for his work with Alien Workshop, Element, and others, is a prominent figure within the skateboard industry. tomorrow marks Element’s Make It Count contest, showin’ up at the Berrics in Los Angeles. Mark Appleyard, Chad Tim Tim, Boo Johnson, and Trent McClung will be hanging out signing autographs. Jealous? Us too.
