The Deathwish Squad recently took a trip from their West Coast roots on over to the East for some signings, demos, ripping and good times. With such a heavy team you know these guys got out and killed shit, regardless of the East Coast grit. If you haven’t seen anything from Erick Valdez yet watch out, big things to come from that dude in the future. Not to mention all the other legendary rippers in the crew. Kirby, Neen, Slash, Dickson and Ellington all held it down with more than their fair share of bangers for the “Let It Be Known” Tour.
The Supra Avex is an embodiment of not only their own innovative prowess but of many overall advancements in skateboarding footwear tech. These skate savvy kicks put all previous years of bipedal destruction into one powerful, lightweight package. If Supra keeps pushing the envelope in this direction, they’ll keep their crown for years to come.
We premiered TransWorld Skateboarding‘s 26th video, ‘Outliers’ at the Palm Theatre here in San Luis Obispo last night. It was a pretty good turn out and we raffled away a pile of sweet TransWorld stuff. Before the TransWorld Outliers screening, we threw on a Jazztato teaser for the upcoming Jazzpush video which features a bunch of local rippers. Good edit Johnny Jazzpush! The premiere was a blast, the video was super good and as always, we were super stoked to see everyone that came out.
If you missed the freak show at your local county fair don’t worry, Deathwish has you covered. From Strongman Jon Dickson to The Horrific Lizard King, these boards each have a personal touch from their respective pros. Brian Hansen may as well be dog-faced and it’s well known Ellington is a human oddity. With a heavy dose of humor and one of the sickest teams out, this series is an ace in the hole. And as always, Deathwish provides top notch wood and shapes in sizes to suit any skater. Pick em’ up HERE.
