SW Art Fart

Straight out of the artsy bunghole of the skateboarding industry comes some news on the art scene. Firstly, we found out Russ Pope will be putting on his first solo art show. The show, titled Tax Included, happens April, 5th, (this Thursday) at the AR4T Gallery in California. Skate Warehouse is a big fan of Pope’s, from his work with Scarecrow to Creature to Fallen Footwear to Vans. We even rock one of his original painting out in the shop (seen below). In more artist news we’re proud to announce a load of Stereo Sound of Silence decks featuring the artwork of Don Pendleton. Pendleton, known over the years for his work with Alien Workshop, Element, and others, is a prominent figure within the skateboard industry. Miika Saksi

New to the Skate Warehouse lineup is a wallet from Analog featuring the artist photography of Miika Saksi. Saksi is a freelance creative director, illustrator, photographer, and director. In the past he’s worked with countless magazines, such as Veli, Trendi, Lowdown, Nylon, We Are Helsinki, Trendi, Basso, and Image. With print work for Adidas Originals, designs for CLTR Clothing, album cover art, and his own personal photography collections, Saksi is and has been doing his rad thing within the industry, with work worthy of looking into. The Cinematographer Project

Silas Baxter-Neal and Tyler Bledsoe, along with many others, are heading to Portland, OR on March 29th to check out the newest TransWorld SKATEboarding’s video The Cinematographer Project, where  15 different filmmakers came together to create one project featuring the likes of Chirs Hernandez, Bill Strobeck, Jon Holland, Beagle, and many more.
