Fury 2 EVO Trucks Review from Mike Roth, SW buyer, resident skater, and badass.
As skateboarders we take our trucks very seriously. Most of us keep the same pair for months or even years. We make sure when switching out decks to keep the front truck in the front, and the back truck in the back, and if somehow it gets messed up you notice right away. We stick to our brand. It’s hard to stray from what we’re used to. I’ve been riding Independent trucks for what feels like forever now, and figured it was time to try something new, so I gave the new Fury EVO 2 trucks a shot. The look of the truck is what really caught my eye and made me want to check these out. The hangar sits a little higher than standard trucks for a tighter turning radius. They also feature a forged aluminum baseplate, which gives your truck added strength with less weight. The Fury EVO 2 trucks come with medium 92A durometer Bones bushing which are responsive right from the start, but if you ride your trucks loose you’ll want to throw some softer bushings in there. After a few skate sessions the Fury’s are holding up nicely. They turn smooth and grind fast, which is really all you’re hoping for. Next time you’re thinking about getting a new pair of trucks, don’t overlook the Fury’s, you won’t be disappointed.

Emerica G-Code Shoe Review from Jarvis Weber, SW Primary Product Receiver, resident skater, and soldier.
I’ve already had these shoes for about a month and a half now and I’ll start out by saying I don’t have anything bad to say about these shoes. It’s Bryan Herman’s shoe, a very well respected name in skateboarding. Sometimes you have a big name on a shoe, but the shoe itself does not deliver. This is not the case. Seeing the way Herman has progressed and changed over the years, it only makes sense that he would have a shoe made that delivers on and off the board. They look good, they skate even better and they are kind to your feet.
The Black/White/Grey colorway is made with suede, which is my preferred material on a skate shoe. I really like how the toe box is one large piece of suede, engulfing the entire front of the shoe and ends near the beginning of the heel. When you have multiple pieces stitched together in that area, it’s not long before your grip has torn through the stitching and they begin to fall apart. Having your toe cap/toe box area blow out is something that is very common. The one-piece toe box eliminates this problem and the toe area lasts a lot longer. You also have better control over your tricks. When it’s one smooth piece, there are no uneven surfaces, stitches or emblems to get caught up on.
The laces are great on these shoes as well. They are a thicker, rope-like lace. When you rip through the first layer of tightly woven thread you will se that there is a second layer inside that resembles your average shoelace. This is very nice considering the original laces never last more than a few days to a week if you are skating a lot. The tongue is nicely padded, which really caught my attention. I have flat feet, so finding a shoe that my feet don’t slip around in is hard. Especially since shoes seem to be going the minimal route these days, slim and thin. It’s enough to keep the shoe nice and snug on my foot and still be comfortable. And my heel does not slip out when I push or walk. Sometimes the soles are too stiff when you first get shoes and it takes a while to break them in. Not these! They have that broken in feeling right out of the box.
The sole is great, inside and out. They haven’t lost their grip for flip tricks. I’m sure it’s not the same as when they were brand new, but you know when a shoe’s grip is toast. I have yet to break through the outsole and the toe box. The insole is very comfortable, comparable to Nike SB’s. They have the System G2 Six Shooter heel cushion, which seems to work considering I haven’t bruised or hurt my heels. You can’t avoid or eliminate a hard impact, but these shoes sure do a great job of absorbing and dispersing it. My feet feel safe when I go out and skate and that helps to have a fun, worry free session.
Like I said before, I don’t have anything bad to say about these shoes. They don’t last forever, which is unfortunate. But nothing lasts forever. These kicks will not let you down, from the time you buy them, to the time you retire them. Do your feet a favor and hook them up with a pair. Let Haters know worldwide, that the G-CODE is what you live and skate by.
