Waiting For Lightning: From a Mega Ramp to a Mega Party

Waiting For Lightning, Danny Way’s bio-pic premiered last night, April 10th, at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. The turn out was good,  and so was the response.

For ten years Way has been in the process of building a Mega ramp in his Kauai backyard. He’s finally done. Waiting For Lighting is the story of how it came to be, with special appearances by many, including Colin McKay, Brian Harper, Christian Hosoi, Skin Philips, Jacob Rosenberg, J. Grant Brittian, Jake Phelps, and more.

Best of Vans 2012 Bondi Bowl-A-Rama

The best of the Vans Bondi Bowl-a-Rama at Australia’s Bondi Bowl features sick footage from everyone and everyone. Check out  sixteen-year-old Pedro Barros, who took first place, veteran Bucky Lasek coming in second, and Rune Glifberg who hit  third. The Duane Peters Signature Indy Truck

In honor of out new Independent Stage 10 Duane Peters LTD Trucks, we’ve dedicated a post to the epic Mr. Peters himself. Duane Peters in a skateboarding icon, named Transworld Skateboarding’s “Legend” in 2003 and the guy behind the invention of tricks like the “acid drop”, the “layback grind”, the “Indy air”, the “Sweeper”, the “backside layback grind revert”, the “fakie hang-up” (a.k.a. “Disaster”), the “invert revert”, the “fakie thruster”, and the “loop of death”, a full 360-degree rotation in a specially designed loop. Aside from skateboarding, Peters formed the punk rock bands the US Bombs, Political Crap, Die’ Hunns, Duane Peters Gunfight, and Exploding Fuckdolls. The Master of Disaster, Duane Peters is a legend.

Teams, Pros, and Prospects

It was announced that Jim Greco will no longer be riding with Krew and has moved to Dickies, along with Tom Remillard, Kevin Terpening, and Vincent Alvarez.  Penny Skateboards announced that  Nick Rozsa is the brands first signed athlete. Santa Cruz Skateboards strengthened its team with Shuriken Shannon and two signature models are already in the making. Jeff Lenoce joined up with Axion, Momentum Wheels welcomed Larelle Gray and Jamie Palmore, and Dennis Durant left C1rca. Lee Yankou recently became the newest Osiris team member, Kevin Shealy joined the ranks of Hype! Skateboards, and Windsor James has gone pro with Mystery.
