October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and to show and offer our support, Skate Warehouse got on board with some Stereo x Keep A Breast Vinyl Cruisers. These skateboards come in three color packages and include not only the cruiser, but a pair of collaboration shades, a sticker pack, and a Stereo Sound Agency key chain. $3 of each purchase goes to the Keep A Breast Foundation where they are working toward a cure and prevention. Keep A Breast and Go Skate!
Skate Warehouse always loves it when something new shows up that has a graphic created by an artist in the industry. Don Pendleton’s Sounds of Science deck series and Stance socks blew us away, we just recently mentioned a new t-shirt graphic from Matt Gordon in a post below, and we even have an original painting from Russ Pope hanging in the SW shop. Now Skate Warehouse is happy to spend some time on another artist. Tim Hendricks, who recently made the graphic for the RVCA Nautical Vintage Dye T-Shirt, is one talented guy.
Primarily a tattoo artist, Hendricks is also an artist at large, from original paintings and drawings to industrial design. Tattooing professionally since 1994, Hendricks got his start in his mid teens by practicing his skills on gang members he grew up with. He’s only grown since then, but you can see in his style that he was forever influenced by the culture of his community. Today Hendricks divides his time between skateboarding and surfing and making art.
Perhaps most uniquely, Hendricks is a maker of tattoo machines. These things are gnarly. Not only do they do their job, but they’re works of art. Each one is custom made with hand wound coils and loads of detail.
Below we’ve featured a few of Hendricks pieces and a video about the dude. Head over to SW to check out the RVCA collection and grab the tee.
Straight out of the artsy bunghole of the skateboarding industry comes some news on the art scene. Firstly, we found out Russ Pope will be putting on his first solo art show. The show, titled Tax Included, happens April, 5th, (this Thursday) at the AR4T Gallery in California. Skate Warehouse is a big fan of Pope’s, from his work with Scarecrow to Creature to Fallen Footwear to Vans. We even rock one of his original painting out in the shop (seen below). Check out some of the Pope goods we’re carrying at SW now. Click the pics for more info.

In more artist news we’re proud to announce a load of Stereo Sound of Silence decks featuring the artwork of Don Pendleton. Pendleton, known over the years for his work with Alien Workshop, Element, and others, is a prominent figure within the skateboard industry. Check out Little Giants, a video about the man and the decks at SW. Click the picture below for more info.
