To celebrate the upcoming July launch of his etnies pro model shoe, Señor Jose Rojo will be skating with fans, friends, family and the etnies skate team at the Mayfair Skatepark in Rojo’s hometown of San Jose, CA on Saturday, June 16. The skate jam is a public event that includes etnies giveaways and a taco truck. Head back over to the Skate Warehouse etnies page to get your pair when they’re out later in July.

Mark your calendars folks, Darkstar Skateboards will be releasing their new skate video, “Slash Forward”, July 29th over at Thrasher Magazine. The Darkstar team has seen some changes since 2003′s “Battallion”. Most notably the additions of Greg Lutzka and Ryan Decenzo to the pro team along side Chet Thomas, PLG, and Adam Dyet, as well as scooping up am’s on the rise Tyson Bowerbank and John Hanlon. etnies owner Pierre-Andre Senizergues along with the etnies team met up in L.A.’s Mission for the annual Easter event this past Friday and handed out 2,000 pairs of shoes to the homeless. etnies has been donating shoes for the past 14 years, but this year was different. Pierre worked with filmmaker Mike Manzoori to film and interview different people throughout the event, capturing this unique look into the generosity of a skate shoe.
Friday, April 6 (also known as tomorrow) members of Girl Skateboards‘ The Art Dump will be putting on a group art show at THIS Los Angeles, featuring work from Andy Jenkins, Eric Anthony, Hershel Baltrotsky, Michael Coleman, Christian Morin, Andy Mueller, and Chris Waycott. Wish we were going.
Think skateboards has been promoting their newest video since 2007. Finally, after a distribution change from Street Corner to Strange Bird and team changes, Business As Usual was unveiled at The Independent in San Francisco on Monday, April 2nd. A full house got to see the long awaited video.
The film opens with Josh Matthews, closes with Lee Yankou, and features other notable parts from Adrian Williams and Jeremy Reeves. Watch the trailer below.
