Alex Kopps comes from the California College of Arts in San Francisco where he still resides today. Into surf, art, and lifestyle he’s made and been a part of a lot of very cool shit. As an artist, photographer, and director, his reach is far. From his surf film Displacement, which features super8 surf footage of the 70s, to his music video for ”Better Trends” by The Japanese Motors, made with very little money, to the countless books and zines he’s been a part of like Chuzwazza, the Supreme Book, Displacement Book, and Most Likely Zine, to his clear commitment to the polaroid, he’s a guy who seems to have gotten it right. We’ve featured a little bit of everything below, including his new t-shirt with RVCA. The RVCA Kopps Serif Vintage Dye T-Shirt at Skate Warehouse is choice.

Supporting the locals and trying to keep skateboarding real, that’s the Skate Warehouse way. We do what we can, with what we’ve got, and a lot of it depends on you guys. Skate Warehouse mentioned a few posts ago that we’ve started carrying a new brand, Brew Swet Skateboards, which comes straight out of Central California San Luis Obispo, as does Skate Warehouse. We’re always happy to kick it on the local and these guys shred. They’re releasing their premier full-length video one part at a time. Check’em here and get your Brew Swet T-Shirt at Skate Warehouse today! Head over to the Brew Swet Facebook page and give them some Like love.

Another one for the long list of RVCA ANP posts. The RVCA Samurai Vintage Dye T-Shirt at Skate Warehouse is in store and online. This t-shirt rocks the patterns of another truly gifted artist kicking it with the RVCA Artist Network Program. George Thompson has been making art a while now, and a lot of it is real dope. Watch a couple videos, check a couple pics, and head to SW to shop for more RVCA.
Grab the t-shirt by clicking the pic or heading right, HERE.
Bohnam Co. has been an impressive new addition to the Skate Warehouse shelves, we’ve been impressed with their goods and the way they run their business. Now they’ve got a new summer line out and Skate Warehouse is on it. With a bunch of their classics on the repeat they’ve also added some new ones. We’ve got the new Bohnam Fish Hunter Pocket T-Shirt and the Bohnam Poseidon T-Shirt. Head over to Skate Warehouse to see the Bohnam Collection. Click the pictures below for more info.
Skate Warehouse always loves it when something new shows up that has a graphic created by an artist in the industry. Don Pendleton’s Sounds of Science deck series and Stance socks blew us away, we just recently mentioned a new t-shirt graphic from Matt Gordon in a post below, and we even have an original painting from Russ Pope hanging in the SW shop. Now Skate Warehouse is happy to spend some time on another artist. Tim Hendricks, who recently made the graphic for the RVCA Nautical Vintage Dye T-Shirt, is one talented guy.
Primarily a tattoo artist, Hendricks is also an artist at large, from original paintings and drawings to industrial design. Tattooing professionally since 1994, Hendricks got his start in his mid teens by practicing his skills on gang members he grew up with. He’s only grown since then, but you can see in his style that he was forever influenced by the culture of his community. Today Hendricks divides his time between skateboarding and surfing and making art.
Perhaps most uniquely, Hendricks is a maker of tattoo machines. These things are gnarly. Not only do they do their job, but they’re works of art. Each one is custom made with hand wound coils and loads of detail.
Below we’ve featured a few of Hendricks pieces and a video about the dude. Head over to SW to check out the RVCA collection and grab the tee.
The artist Matt Gordon is originally from Michigan, where he still resides today. He’s been making art for some time and has worked with RVCA through the Artist Network Program, on shirts including the RVCA Mainland Buffet T-Shirt, which we’ve currently got in stock.
The art is weird, the guy is weirder. You can see why we like it. Check out the RVCA video interview below and head over to Skate Warehouse to grab the shirt.
Straight out of the artsy bunghole of the skateboarding industry comes some news on the art scene. Firstly, we found out Russ Pope will be putting on his first solo art show. The show, titled Tax Included, happens April, 5th, (this Thursday) at the AR4T Gallery in California. Skate Warehouse is a big fan of Pope’s, from his work with Scarecrow to Creature to Fallen Footwear to Vans. We even rock one of his original painting out in the shop (seen below). Check out some of the Pope goods we’re carrying at SW now. Click the pics for more info.
In more artist news we’re proud to announce a load of Stereo Sound of Silence decks featuring the artwork of Don Pendleton. Pendleton, known over the years for his work with Alien Workshop, Element, and others, is a prominent figure within the skateboard industry. Check out Little Giants, a video about the man and the decks at SW. Click the picture below for more info.
