Daan Van Der Linden

Daan picked up skateboarding after seeing a neighborhood kid with skateboard. Daan, his brother, and the kid all shared that one skateboard. Daan also had a babysitter that worked at a local indoor skatepark and would take him there after hours. Daan progressed quickly and, with the help of his local skateshop, he secured some top-tier sponsors. By 17, he was placing in local Am contests, showcasing his raw talent and seamless blend of old school and modern as well as ripping street and vert equally. Daan's major industry breakthrough came in 2016 when he turned pro for Anti Hero Skateboards and was also named European Skater of the Year; he landed the cover of Thrasher that same year as well. Off the board, Daan's an avid fisherman; he once had a signature Nike SB colorway with fishing embelishments nodding to his favorite hobby outside of skateboarding. Daan, for the most part, keeps a low profile and lets his skateboarding do the talking. Although already a veteran pro, Daan continues to push skating's boundaries from street to backyard pools while staying true to its core.
