Danny Way

Born in Portland and raised in San Diego, Danny Way quickly became one of the most recognizable names in skateboarding. He was first introduced by Powell in 1988 with footage in their video 'Public Domain' and soon after had pro boards from H-Street and Blind including the iconic 'Nuke Baby' graphic. In 1991, Danny Way began riding for a new brand, Plan B, and stuck around till they went under in 1998 and moved on to Alien Workshop from 1999 to 2004 only to relaunch Plan B with his ex-teammate Colin McKay in 2005. Way continues to co-own the company in 2024. Throughout most of his career, Danny Way rode for DC Shoes, was their first pro skater on the team.

Danny Way has achieved almost too many things to count in skateboarding, but one of the things he is most recognized for is bringing the MegaRamp to light by skating it in the DC Video in the early 2000's. With the MegaRamp, he was able to gap The Great Wall of China, drop into it from a helicopter, and get the world records for highest air and longest gap in the same run. On top of these feats, he achieved the fastest land speed on a skateboard record, won multiple X-Games gold medals, AND is one of only 2 people to have won Thrasher's Skater Of The Year award twice in 1991 and 2004.
